Job summary

Asahi Beverages is seeking a hands-on Business Development Executive to manage an established Canberra North retail territory, with trips to Goulburn, Yass and Crookwell. Build partnerships with independent bottle shops and grocery customers to grow distribution, promotions and brand presence.

You will visit up to six customers daily on a fortnightly cycle, and work autonomously in the field with support from a national sales network and Canberra office.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing sales experience and ability to influence others.
• Strong planning, organisation and follow-through.
• Resilient, positive approach to changing systems and priorities.
• Comfort working autonomously and managing your own day.
• Genuine learning mindset and willingness to be coached.
• Current full Australian driver licence.
• FMCG, liquor, grocery, merchandising or territory experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of approximately 60 independent liquor and grocery customers.
• Plan and deliver an effective fortnightly customer call cycle.
• Build strong relationships with independent owners and store teams.
• Sell in products, promotions and business initiatives with a value-led approach.
• Grow distribution, volume, visibility and brand presence across the territory.
• Identify opportunities in range, space, pricing and promotional execution.
• Review territory performance, maintain follow-up and deliver against sales targets.
• Work independently in the field while contributing to a supportive local and virtual team.
