Job summary

Rosebank College invites applications for the permanent part-time College Counsellor/Psychologist role within the Pastoral Care team. The position is term time only, commencing 20 January 2027, with two days per week on any two days between Monday and Wednesday.

The successful applicant will promote students’ psychological health, wellbeing and academic engagement, working with students, families and staff, providing counselling, assessment, early intervention and referral as needed.

Qualifications

• Registered psychologist with AHPRA and eligible to practice in NSW.
• Experience supporting the psychological, social and emotional wellbeing of school-aged students.
• Ability to assess, intervene early and refer where appropriate.
• Ability to build safe, trusting relationships with students across middle to senior years.
• Commitment to ethical practice and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Provide counselling, assessment and early intervention for students.
• Work with families, staff and external professionals to support wellbeing.
• Contribute to age-appropriate wellbeing programs and staff professional learning.
• Collaborate with Pastoral Leadership Team and Dean of Pastoral Care.
• Maintain professional records and uphold child safety practices.
