Job summary

The Catholic Education Diocese of Rockhampton invites applications for a Classroom Support Assistant at Shalom College, Bundaberg. This term-time, continuing position offers 35 hours per week with a starting date in Term 1, 2027 (27 January 2027).

You will provide targeted support to students, including those with additional learning needs, to enhance engagement and outcomes. The role requires collaboration with school leaders and teachers to coordinate timetables, monitor progress, and maintain

Qualifications

• Providing targeted one-on-one and small group support to students, including those with additional learning needs, to enhance engagement, participation and learning outcomes.
• Assisting with the identification, assessment, and monitoring of student learning needs, and supporting the implementation of educational adjustments and inclusive learning strategies.
• Collaborating with Heads of Department, the Dean of Inclusive Learning, teachers, Classroom Support Assistants and other support staff to coordinate support timetables and deliver effective student support across classes.
• Monitoring student progress, wellbeing and behaviour, and providing feedback to teachers to support informed decision-making and improved student outcomes.
• Maintaining accurate records, preparing learning resources, and contributing to the planning, delivery and review of student support initiatives.
