Job summary

Believe Housing Australia, part of the AnglicareSA family, seeks a Tenant Review & Engagement Officer to listen to tenants, understand their experiences and drive meaningful improvements.

This varied role blends community engagement, research, data analysis and service improvement. You’ll run surveys, support tenant-led groups, spot trends and turn insights into practical actions across teams to enhance tenant outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in community engagement, customer experience, tenant services, research, service improvement or a similar role where you've used feedback and information to improve outcomes.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret survey results, identify trends, draw meaningful conclusions and translate findings into practical recommendations.
• Confidence working with data, digital systems and Microsoft Office applications, including using information to maintain accurate records, monitor outcomes and prepare reports.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to engage respectfully with diverse people and encourage meaningful participation.
• Strong planning and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities, work autonomously and collaborate across teams.
• Knowledge of housing policies, regulations and best practices within the social and affordable housing sector.
• Understanding of tenant participation frameworks and community engagement methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Turn feedback into action: Design and coordinate tenant surveys, consultations, focus groups and other engagement activities, analysing results to identify trends, understand tenant needs and recommend improvements.
• Strengthen the tenant voice: Develop and improve tenant review processes and support tenant-led groups, including facilitating meetings, building participation and helping tenants contribute to service reviews and decision-making.
• Use data to drive better outcomes: Maintain systems to track tenant feedback, monitor service performance and measure the impact of changes, ensuring recommendations are followed through and outcomes are evaluated.
• Research and improve services: Investigate housing trends, emerging issues and best practice, using evidence and insights to inform recommendations for housing policies, procedures and service delivery.
• Build connections and share insights: Develop positive relationships with tenants, community groups and internal teams, communicating findings and outcomes through reports, presentations, newsletters and other engagement channels.
