Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking an experienced Payroll Officer for a temporary Brisbane-based role, handling end-to-end payroll for a diverse workforce and ensuring accuracy in a fast-paced environment. You will manage payroll for up to 200 salaried and 100 casual employees, process new starters and terminations, and ensure compliance with relevant awards and legislation.

Qualifications

• End-to-end payroll experience.
• Experience processing payroll for salaried and casual staff.
• Strong knowledge of payroll legislation, awards and entitlements.
• High accuracy, numeracy and attention to detail.
• Strong Excel and MS Office skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
• Experience with MicrOpay, Chris21, Aurion or Employment Hero is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Process end-to-end payroll for up to 200 salaried employees and 100 casual employees.
• Process new starters, terminations and employee changes.
• Review timesheets, overtime, allowances and deductions.
• Calculate and process leave entitlements and payroll adjustments.
• Ensure compliance with awards, enterprise agreements and payroll legislation.
• Reconcile payroll data and investigate discrepancies.
• Process superannuation contributions and payroll tax requirements as applicable.
• Maintain accurate employee records and payroll documentation.
• Respond to payroll queries and provide support to employees.
• Assist with payroll reporting and reconciliations.
