Sharp and Carter is seeking an Accounts Officer for a temp-to-perm role in Brisbane's Northern suburbs. You will support day-to-day finance, payroll, and administration while expanding your accounting knowledge in a collaborative team.

You will work under the Finance Manager, gaining hands-on exposure to payroll, month-end journals, balance sheet reconciliations and reporting, with opportunities to learn and progress within the team.

Formación

• Previous experience in a general accounting or Finance Officer position.
• Experience with month-end, reconciliations and general accounting processes.
• Payroll experience, ideally with exposure to end-to-end payroll processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• End to end Payroll for up to 100+ employees.
• Prepare, lodge and process monthly payroll tax and annual returns.
• Manage credit card reconciliations and staff expense claims.
• Provide support across Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
• Prepare monthly timesheet summaries and wages allocations.
• Process monthly payroll and lodge monthly superannuation contributions.
• Maintain accurate employee payroll records.
• Provide reception and general administrative support as required.
• Support the wider team with ad hoc finance and administrative duties.
• Complete month-end journals including prepayments, accruals and intercompany recharges.
• Maintain the fixed asset register, including monthly reconciliations and depreciation journals.
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliation packs.
• Complete end-of-year payroll reconciliations and reporting.
