Job summary

Wandana Primary School in Wandana is seeking a Temporary Teacher for the Disability Unit class to start Term 1, 2027. Wandana Preschool to Year 6 has about 190 enrolments and an inclusive, multicultural ethos.

The role is a 1.0 FTE fixed-term position within a Cat 2 community school, with strong collaboration across teams. The successful candidate will plan and deliver learning, collaborate with families and agencies, and assess and report progress in a supportive, trauma-informed environment

Qualifications

• Experience in working with students in a specialised setting.
• Experience with students with intellectual disabilities, ASD or multiple disabilities.
• Knowledge of Positive Behaviour for Learning and trauma-informed / self-regulation approaches.

Responsibilities

• Plan, deliver and evaluate learning in the Disability Unit class.
• Collaborate with SSS, external agencies, families and colleagues.
• Undertake assessments and reporting.
• Provide an environment in which all children can thrive.
