Job summary

Chandler Macleod Group – Raymond Terrace NSW is seeking an experienced Events, Arts & Culture Officer to join on a temporary basis through to March 2027, delivering community events, arts initiatives and placemaking.

This role coordinates civic events, works with groups and contractors, manages logistics, and ensures safe, inclusive delivery. 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with occasional weekends.

The assignment offers a casual rate up to $54.00 per hour and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or demonstrated experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of event operations, planning, logistics, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the planning and delivery of civic and community events.
• Support the delivery of arts, culture, placemaking, and community engagement programs.
• Work closely with community groups, event organisers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and support to organisers delivering events on public land.
• Assist with event approvals, planning processes, and operational requirements.
• Coordinate event logistics, including road closures, amenities, power supply, waste management, food vendor requirements, sound management, and amusement devices.
• Contribute to the successful delivery of safe, sustainable, and inclusive events.
