Job summary

Greenpeace Australia Pacific (GPAP) is seeking a casual Telefundraiser to join our in-house Call Centre in Rosebery, Sydney. You will contact supporters to convert donations, share information about campaigns, and build ongoing engagement by delivering persuasive, accurate conversations aligned with our environmental goals.

This role offers weekend/shift flexibility with an hourly rate of around AUD 44, onsite at our Rosebery office, and access to coaching, incentives, and career development

Qualifications

• One year of experience in sales, fundraising, or telemarketing.
• Strong objection-handling and negotiation skills.
• Comfortable using computer systems and CRMs.

Responsibilities

• Engaging with new and existing supporters over the phone to inspire financial support.
• Achieving fundraising targets including conversion rate, contact rate, and average gift.
• Deliver authentic, persuasive and informative conversations aligned with Greenpeace campaigns.
• Keep accurate and secure supporter records while maintaining data integrity.
• Participate in regular coaching sessions to grow your skills and impact.
• Always uphold Greenpeace's standards, Code of Conduct, and commitment to integrity.

TELEFUNDRAISER

Role: Casual Position
Hours: Seeking candidates available full time, Monday to Friday.

• Monday - Thursday: 10:45am - 6:45pm
• Friday: 9am - 5pm

Location: Onsite in Rosebery, Sydney
Remuneration: $44 per hour

THE ROLE

As a member of our vibrant in-house Call Centre team, you'll connect with supporters who've taken action on Greenpeace campaigns; people who've signed petitions, shared messages, or expressed interest in a greener future. Your mission is to inspire them to become regular donors or increase their support.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

You're an excellent communicator who's passionate about the environment and believes in humanities power to make change. You thrive in a target-driven environment and can balance rapport with persuasion.

You'll ideally have:

• One year of experience in sales, fundraising, or telemarketing.
• Confidence, patience, and resilience even under pressure.
• Strong objection-handling and negotiation skills.
• You can think creatively to connect with supporters and tailor conversations.
• Is organised, adaptable, and comfortable using computer systems and CRMs.

THE TEAM

Based out of the GPAP Head office, we are on a mission to deliver world class In‑house Telefundraising. Working full‑time hours, our fundraisers inspire potential new supporters about the need to protect our oceans, reduce plastic pollution and talk about humanity's most pressing challenge - Climate Change.
