Ashapuri Telecommunications Pty Ltd is seeking a Telecommunications Technical Officer or Technologist to provide specialist design and technical support for telecom networks and equipment.

The role involves assisting with installation, monitoring performance, diagnosing faults and maintaining detailed technical records to ensure safe, reliable network operation in line with approved designs and standards.

Qualifications

• Relevant qualification in Telecommunications Engineering or a related field.
• Experience in telecommunications network installation, testing, maintenance and fault diagnosis.
• Ability to interpret network plans, technical drawings and equipment specifications.
• Strong technical problem-solving and communication skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards and workplace safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist with design, installation, commissioning and ongoing technical support of telecom networks.
• Interpret plans and client requirements to determine installation and configuration needs.
• Configure and integrate equipment with hardware, software and databases.
• Install, test and commission equipment ensuring connectivity and signal quality.
• Monitor performance, analyse results and address reliability and service-quality issues.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs to restore services quickly.
• Maintain accurate records of assets, tests and maintenance actions.
• Prepare technical reports and advise management and clients.
