Job summary

CHEEMA BRISBANE PTY LTD is hiring a Telecommunications Network Planner for their Coopers Plains, Brisbane office. The role focuses on planning customer access network infrastructure, providing technical support, and monitoring network performance.

The successful candidate will have relevant qualifications (AQF level/ Diploma) or 3+ years of related experience, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work with vendors and internal teams.

Qualifications

• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in telecommunications or closely related field, or 3+ years experience in telecom.
• Minimum 1 year in telecom network planning, design or technical support.
• Good knowledge of telecom network infrastructure and customer access networks.
• Ability to read network designs and technical drawings, with strong documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan development of customer access telecom network infrastructure (capacity, coverage, hardware, software).
• Forecast future capacity needs to design network upgrades and expansions.
• Install, maintain, diagnose malfunctions in microwave, telemetry, satellite and radio systems.
• Configure and integrate network tech with software, hardware and databases.
• Provide technical advice to clients, contractors and internal teams; monitor network performance.
