Job summary

Omtech Communication in Queensland seeks a Telecommunications Network Planner to lead the development and expansion of customer access networks with a fibre focus. You will assess requirements, design practical routes and coordinate with stakeholders to ensure safe, compliant delivery.

Qualifications

• AQF Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Telecommunications or related discipline.
• Experience in telecommunications network planning, design or related technical role.
• Knowledge of fibre-optic networks, pits/pipes and underground utilities.
• Ability to interpret network drawings and maintain technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Plan development and expansion of customer access networks with fibre focus.
• Review requirements, site surveys and specifications for practical routes.
• Develop network plans covering fibre routes, pit-and-pipe and cable pathways.
• Coordinate with project teams, clients and contractors to deliver solutions.
• Ensure compliance with standards and update documentation during delivery.
