Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Head of Telco to lead the go-to-market across Telecommunications in Australia. You will build and own a high-impact sales team, define strategy, engage with C-suite leaders, and drive cloud and AI adoption in tier-1 carriers and related infrastructure providers.

This leadership role requires deep telco knowledge, a track record of multi-year deals, and the ability to navigate regulated environments while delivering customer outcomes through technology-driven modernization.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of enterprise sales and business development experience in technology with a significant telecom focus.
• Ability to discuss telco buying, building, operating technology and regulatory considerations with C-suite.
• Proven track record in multi-year, high-value deals and building high-performing sales teams.
• Experience navigating regulated, infrastructure-critical environments with security and governance reviews.
• Ability to articulate cloud and AI value to both technical and business leaders.
• Strong executive presence and experience engaging CEOs, CTOs, CIOs, and boards.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of enterprise sales professionals focused on accelerating AWS adoption across Telecommunications in Australia.
• Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for Telecommunications, including investments, positioning, and use cases.
• Engage with senior leaders to shape cloud, network modernization, and AI programs.
• Hire, develop, and maintain a high-performance sales culture with clear accountability.
