Job summary

Grant Thornton Australia in Melbourne seeks a Manager to lead Technology Risk engagements across SOC, ITGCs, cyber security, privacy and data governance. You will work with clients to provide practical recommendations, develop Associates, and strengthen relationships while growing our national Technology Risk footprint.

You’ll guide teams, apply industry frameworks, and contribute to deliverables with clear, actionable risk insights for executives and technical stakeholders.

Qualifications

• IT risk and security management in public practice or corporate environment.
• Hands-on auditing experience with key frameworks and standards listed.
• Understanding of hyperscale IT systems and diverse audiences.
• Strong client service, delivery and ownership mindset.
• Experience leading and mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead Technology Risk engagements across Controls Assurance and IT Audit.
• Apply frameworks to assess client environments.
• Build trusted client relationships with clear communication.
• Translate tech risks into pragmatic recommendations for execs and engineers.
• Manage engagement scope, budget, delivery quality and risks.
• Coach Associates and Senior Associates.
• Contribute to growth of Technology Risk practice in Melbourne.
