Job summary

The Star Entertainment Group in Sydney is seeking a Technology Risk and Data Governance Manager to lead enterprise technology risk, data governance, and compliance initiatives across Group Technology.

Reporting to the General Manager IT Strategy, Governance & Corporate Technologies, you will partner with risk, cyber, audit and business teams to strengthen governance, manage remediation, and embed data ownership and quality controls.

Qualifications

• Experience in technology risk management, audit, compliance, cyber assurance, or related governance.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 27001, NIST, COBIT, PCI-DSS frameworks.
• Understanding of data governance: ownership, stewardship, quality, metadata, lineage.
• Proven ability to coordinate audits, regulatory reviews, risk assessments and remediation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for senior leadership reports.
• Ability to influence across diverse business and technology teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a consolidated enterprise view of technology risks, audit findings, and remediation activities.
• Drive governance and assurance activities across technology and cyber functions.
• Support regulatory engagement with bodies such as OLGR and NICC.
• Strengthen technology risk culture, accountability, and control maturity across the organisation.
• Establish and uplift data governance practices including data ownership and privacy controls.
• Coordinate risk reporting and governance forums for leadership visibility.
• Partner with technology, architecture, cyber, and business teams to embed data governance in initiatives.
