Job summary

The Star Entertainment Group is seeking an Analyst, Corporate Risk Advisory & Controls to support compliance with laws, internal policies and risk frameworks. Based in NSW or QLD, you will assess financial crime controls, advise on regulatory changes, and work with business owners to improve risk practices.

You will partner with stakeholders to strengthen risk management, perform control testing, and contribute to governance reporting within the Group's GRC system.

Qualifications

• Experience in Risk, Compliance, Assurance or Controls Testing in corporate or regulated environments.
• Strong risk mindset with ability to identify gaps and provide recommendations.
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills for risk assessments and root cause analysis.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills across business units.
• Relevant tertiary qualification; industry certifications viewed favourably.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk and control assessments across Corporate functions to identify, evaluate and mitigate risks.
• Execute control testing and walkthroughs to assess design and operating effectiveness; identify gaps.
• Partner with stakeholders to strengthen risk management and drive remediation outcomes.
• Provide risk and compliance advice on regulatory changes and embedding controls.
• Support incident, issue and action management with root-cause analysis and tracking.
• Prepare risk and compliance reports for governance forums and record-keeping in the GRC system.
