Brisbane Catholic Education is seeking a School Officer to support the Industrial Technology and Design program at St John's College, Nambour. You will assist in workshops, prep materials, and help deliver practical and theory lessons while ensuring a safe learning space.

The role involves maintaining tools and equipment, managing stock, and supporting students under teacher guidance. A Certificate III in Education Support is preferred, with term-time hours and competitive conditions.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting classroom and workshop activities in an IT/design context.
• Ability to assist with workshop tools, equipment, and materials.
• Commitment to safe, inclusive learning environments and WHS compliance.

Responsabilités

• Provide general classroom and workshop support to teachers and students during lessons.
• Assist with operation, maintenance, and routine servicing of workshop tools and equipment.
• Prepare, organise, and pack away tools, materials and learning resources.
• Assist with preparation of timber, metal and other materials for student projects.
• Support students in the safe use of workshop equipment under supervision.
• Monitor consumables, materials, and stock levels in the workshop.
• Ensure tools and spaces are clean, organised and ready for use.
• Assist in maintaining compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements.
• Maintain storage for flammable materials, chemicals, and workshop supplies.
• Undertake admin tasks such as photocopying, filing, stock ordering and record keeping.
• Contribute to a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.
