Job summary

All Hallows’ School in Brisbane is seeking a part-time, term-time, permanent Learning Support role to help run practical lessons across Food, Textiles, CAD/CAM and Digital Technology. You will assist with materials, equipment, and class support, while maintaining safe, well-resourced spaces.

The ideal candidate has strong organisational and communication skills, an interest in technology, and a Blue Card. A related trade qualification or relevant experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
• Interest in technology-related products; willing to learn CAD/CAM, resistant materials, coding hardware, 3D printing, laser cutting.
• Current Queensland Working with Children Clearance (Blue Card).
• Approval to work in Australia.
• A current food safety certificate.
• Commitment to the values and ethos of Catholic education in the Mercy tradition.
• A related trade qualification or relevant practical experience would be beneficial.
• Experience working with children or young people in a school setting would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Support practical classes, including set-up and in-class assistance; cleaning and packing away.
• Prepare ingredients, materials, equipment and resources for lessons and activities.
• Order, receive, store and distribute supplies; process purchase orders and invoices.
• Maintain clean, safe, organized learning, preparation and storage areas.
• Support specialist equipment: sewing/embroidery machines, 3D printers and laser cutters; liaise with staff, students and suppliers.
