Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti Australia Limited seeks a Mine Ventilation Technician to join the Underground Mining team at Tropicana Gold Mine. The role reports to the Underground Mining Engineer – Projects and Infrastructure and operates on an 8 days on/6 days off FIFO roster with direct flights from Perth and Kalgoorlie.

You will monitor and audit ventilation, prepare plans, contribute to mine planning, and perform statutory ventilation surveys while supporting underground infrastructure and project work

Responsibilities

• Monitor the underground ventilation system to maintain a safe atmosphere.
• Audit ventilation infrastructure for compliance with ventilation plans.
• Prepare and distribute ventilation plans.
• Provide input into mine plans and schedules from a ventilation perspective.
• Complete statutory ventilation surveys of primary and secondary networks.
• Manage the secondary fan register and coordinate maintenance/changes.
• Assist with underground infrastructure and project work as directed.

About the Role

• Monitor the underground ventilation system to ensure a safe working atmosphere for all employees
• Audit ventilation infrastructure to ensure compliance with approved ventilation plans
• Prepare and distribute ventilation plans
• Provide ventilation-specific input into mine plans and schedules
• Complete statutory ventilation surveys of the primary and secondary ventilation networks
• Manage the secondary fan register and arrange maintenance and change-outs as required
• Assist with underground infrastructure and project work as directed
