Job summary

AngloGold Ashanti Australia is seeking a Mine Ventilation Technician for our Tropicana Gold Mine. The role is based in Western Australia with an 8 days on/6 days off FIFO roster and flights from Perth or Kalgoorlie.

You will monitor underground ventilation, audit systems, and support ventilation planning and project work. We value collaboration, safe working practices, and a proactive approach to improving mine ventilation.

Qualifications

• Experience working in an underground mine environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Valid C Class Driver's Licence and ability to obtain site induction.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the underground ventilation system to maintain a safe atmosphere.
• Audit ventilation infrastructure against approved plans and ensure compliance.
• Prepare and distribute ventilation plans for site use.
• Provide input to mine plans and schedules related to ventilation.
• Conduct statutory ventilation surveys of primary and secondary networks.
• Manage the secondary fan register and arrange maintenance as required.
• Assist with underground infrastructure and project work as directed.

We are currently seeking a Mine Ventilation Technician to join our Underground Mining team at Tropicana Gold Mine, reporting to the Underground Mining Engineer - Projects and Infrastructure.

This role is based at Tropicana Gold Mine on an 8 days on/6 days off FIFO roster, with direct flights provided to site from Perth and/or Kalgoorlie.

About The Role

• Monitor the underground ventilation system to ensure a safe working atmosphere for all employees
• Audit ventilation infrastructure to ensure compliance with approved ventilation plans
• Prepare and distribute ventilation plans
• Provide ventilation‑specific input into mine plans and schedules
• Complete statutory ventilation surveys of the primary and secondary ventilation networks
• Manage the secondary fan register and arrange maintenance and change‑outs as required
• Assist with underground infrastructure and project work as directed
