CMV Truck & Bus Fleet Management in North Albury, NSW is seeking an experienced Trailer Mechanic/Qualified Heavy Vehicle Technician. Join our workshop team to service and maintain on-site customer fleet vehicles, diagnose mechanical and hydraulic issues, and perform fabrication work. Overtime and weekends available, with opportunities to learn and advance within CMV Group.

Qualifications

• Qualified trailer mechanic or Certificate III Mechanical Trade.
• Experience servicing/refurbishing trailers in heavy vehicle industry.
• HC/HR licence beneficial but not essential.
• Welding and fabrication experience required.
• General fitting and mechanical work on trailers."
• Ability to read drawings and fabricate to specs; work autonomously or in a team.
• Own tools.

Responsibilities

• General servicing of heavy vehicle trailers to required standards.
• Maintain and repair trailers across makes/models.
• Carry out VicRoads roadworthy inspections.
• Diagnosis: mechanical, hydraulic, auto-electrical, fabrication tasks.
• Complete service sheets and related documents.
• Overtime including weekends.

Job description

Our Fleet management business now requires the need for an experienced Trailer Mechanic / Qualified Heavy Vehicle Technician to join our friendly team working from our workshop in North Albury, NSW. Here you will be required to undertake the service and maintenance requirements of all on-site customer fleet vehicles whilst providing excellent customer service. This role will suit a skilled and dedicated individual who is looking to expand on their skill sets with an opportunity to learn, grow and advance your career.

Duties & responsibilities

• Conduct general servicing of heavy vehicle trailers to appropriate standards
• Maintain and repair heavy vehicle trailers on a variety of makes and models
• VicRoads roadworthy inspections
• Vehicle diagnosis, mechanical and hydraulics works along with auto electrical and fabrication work
• Completion of service sheets and other job-related documents
• An abundance of overtime including weekend work

If you have

• A qualification in trailer mechanics and or min Cert 3 Mechanical trade certificate/qualification
• Experience in trailer servicing and refurbishing in an Heavy Vehicle industry
• A current HC/HR licence / Heavy combination licence beneficial but not essential
• Demonstrated welding and fabrication experience
• General fitting and mechanical work experience on trailers
• An ability to read drawings and fabricate to specifications and work autonomously / in a team
• Your own tools
• Excellent attention to detail and customer focus
