Job summary

Microscopy Australia, hosted by the University of Sydney, delivers the Technician Commitment in Australia. This fixed-term 2-year role leads partnerships and external engagement to grow signatories and strengthen national collaboration for technicians and technical professionals.

Reporting to the Program Lead, you will engage senior leaders, policymakers and funders to advance the initiative, develop engagement strategies, and represent the program at national forums and stakeholder meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience in partnerships, stakeholder engagement, policy or external relations within higher education, research or government.
• Ability to build trusted relationships and influence senior stakeholders.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills with credibility for national forums.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of Australia partnerships and external engagement strategy.
• Build and maintain strategic relationships with senior leaders across universities, government, funders and industry.
• Coordinate opportunities to influence policy, funding and sector priorities for technical workforce development.
• Provide strategic advice and engagement materials to support programme development and representation.
