Job summary

Microscopy Australia, hosted by the University of Sydney, seeks a Marketing and Communications Officer to raise the profile of the Technician Commitment in Australia and manage its digital presence.

You will develop and deliver integrated marketing and communications strategies across digital, print, media and events, produce compelling content, secure positive media coverage, and engage technical professionals, institutions, government, funders and the wider community.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in marketing, communications, media or PR, including multi-channel plans.
• Ability to translate complex programs into clear, audience-focused messages.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver integrated marketing, communications and stakeholder engagement strategies across Australia.
• Create and optimise content across digital, social, website and email channels.
• Identify stories and campaigns that showcase the impact of technical professionals and the Technician Commitment.
• Drive media relations, including releases, pitches and spokesperson support.
• Collaborate with signatories, partners and the UK team to coordinate campaigns and events.
• Monitor performance with analytics to strengthen future communications.
• Manage reputational issues when required.
