Job summary

Johnson Controls Brisbane is seeking a skilled Chiller Technician to join the Brisbane Service Team. You’ll provide technical expertise on commercial and industrial HVAC and chiller systems with a high degree of autonomy and strong support from an experienced team.

Key requirements include 4+ years of service experience, ability to read drawings, and a focus on safety, quality, and customer service as you diagnose, repair, and optimise complex systems across sites.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience servicing HVAC, chiller, or industrial cooling systems.
• Mechanical and/or electrical trade expertise within HVAC.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency breakdowns and perform planned preventative maintenance.
• Commission chillers and HVAC equipment across customer sites.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues.
• Conduct overhauls and fault-finding on reciprocating, screw, and centrifugal chillers.
• Completing service documentation and technical reports accurately.
• Building strong relationships with customers and providing expert technical advice.
• Supporting customers with operational guidance and system optimisation.

Due to continued growth across Queensland, we're looking for an experienced Chiller Technician to join our Brisbane Service Team.

You will have:

• 4+ years' experience servicing HVAC, chiller, or industrial cooling systems
• Strong maintenance, repair, and fault-finding capabilities
• Mechanical and/or electrical trade expertise within HVAC
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics
• Strong communication and reporting skills
• Current Australian driver's licence
• Ability to successfully complete pre-employment medical and background checks
