Job summary

Talent is seeking a hands-on Technical Test Lead in Brisbane to drive automation strategy across API, UI and cloud services. You will design scalable frameworks, mentor engineers and embed quality gates into CI/CD pipelines, helping deliver reliable software in a multi-SaaS environment.

You will lead API-first testing, contract testing and performance validation, collaborate with vendors, and codify engineering standards to raise testing maturity and release confidence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Technical Test Lead or similar leadership role.
• Strong software engineering background with hands-on automation design.
• Experience with API automation, contract testing and end-to-end testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement scalable automation frameworks across API, integration and UI testing.
• Champion API-first testing including contract and integration testing.
• Embed automated quality gates into CI/CD pipelines to improve release reliability.
• Establish test data management practices including provisioning and masking.
• Develop performance and compatibility testing across cloud environments.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership through code reviews and mentoring.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to raise automation capability.
• Define quality metrics and dashboards to measure automation stability.
