If you are looking for more than just your next role, this is your opportunity to be part of an organisation with purpose, energy and ambition, and to do work that truly matters to the community we serve.

The City of Karratha is seeking an experienced and hands‑on Technical Supervisor to lead the delivery of technical services at the Red Earth Arts Precinct (REAP). This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring the successful operation of all on-stage, backstage and technical aspects of the venue, delivering exceptional experiences for artists, hirers, audiences and the wider community.

Reporting to the Community Operations Coordinator, you will oversee the planning, coordination and delivery of technical requirements across a diverse program of performances, events and cultural activities. From lighting, sound and audiovisual systems through to stage operations, rigging, staffing and venue safety, you will play a key role in maintaining REAP as a premier performing arts venue in the region.

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead the delivery of technical operations across REAP, including lighting, audio, audiovisual, staging, rigging and performance support.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience supervising technical teams, casual staff or volunteers, with the ability to coordinate multiple events and competing priorities.
  • Strong problem‑solving, organisational and decision‑making skills, with the ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with artists, clients, contractors, community groups and internal teams.
  • Relevant tertiary qualification or significant industry experience (minimum 5 years), together with a current C Class Driver's Licence, First Aid Certificate, National Police Clearance and the ability to obtain or hold EWP and Rigging licences.
Why Join Us?
  • 6 weeks annual leave and 13% superannuation
  • Allowances of up to $25,103 per annum
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for confidential wellbeing support
  • Be part of a supportive and passionate team dedicated to delivering exceptional arts, cultural and community experiences
