Wangaratta Performing Arts and Convention Centre (WPACC) in Wangaratta, VIC, is seeking a Senior Theatre Technician for a permanent part-time position (56 hours per fortnight) at $45.95 per hour plus super. This exciting permanent part time role is ideal for an experienced Senior Theatre Technician who thrives in a fast paced performing arts environment and enjoys delivering high quality theatre productions, conferences and business events in a large regional venue.

About the Role

Working as part of a skilled and collaborative technical team, you will contribute to the successful delivery of a wide range of performances and events. Your responsibilities will include preparing, setting up and operating technical systems for conferences and events, as well as bump in and bump out of both small and large scale productions.

You will bring strong technical expertise across lighting, audio, audio visual, staging and mechanist duties, along with a comprehensive understanding of theatre operations. A commitment to excellent customer service and strict adherence to industry WHS and OH&S practices is essential.

About You

You are highly organised, physically fit, and able to multitask while working to tight deadlines. You are comfortable working variable hours, including evenings and weekends, and enjoy contributing to a team that delivers consistently high standards.

Desirable: EWP Licence, White Card, Level 2 First Aid, and endorsed Rigger and Dogging certificates.
