Suba Engineering in Melbourne seeks a Technical Service Engineer who loves mechatronics, software and electronics. You’ll visit clients across Victoria and Australia, troubleshoot, install lines and perform maintenance on advanced SMT and wire processing equipment.

Training is provided, including overseas supplier exposure. You’ll need strong customer service and a hands-on mindset; travel approx two weeks per month with a modern, collaborative culture and opportunities to grow.

Technical Service Engineer for Industry Leader (Training Provided!)

You’re a total nerd for everything Engineering, Softwares and Electrical. You may have studied something related at Uni, or have just done a lot of your own research and deep diving- regardless you have a real passion and interest in everything mechatronic.

You want a job that will train you and expose you to a lot of different softwares and European / Japanese manufactured machines, with the latest innovative technology for the SMT and Wire Processing industries, where you get to help people and troubleshoot things.

This role is for Suba Engineering, they’re industry leaders, with cutting edge & innovative technology manufactured in Germany, Japan and Switzerland.

This role is as a Technical Service Engineer, which means you’re out and about visiting clients locally within Victoria, and also all over Australia and close neighbouring countries (you can expect to be on the road approx 2 weeks every month), assisting them with troubleshooting/repairs/maintenance and line installations etc.

#1 for Suba is attitude and culture fit, the rest they’re happy to invest in training and developing you. All you really need is great customer service skills and a love for everything technical. If you come with hands-on experience, that’s just a cherry on top!
The role is based from our office in Mentone, but mainly you will be on the road.

The role will come with about 6 months of initial training, then ongoing training, upskilling, and eventually supplier training at their overseas premises, so you really understand the role & products. The initial training will be split between training in Melbourne (they will send techs down to train you in person), and Sydney (they will fly you up and organise accommodation), and ‘on the job out in the field’ locally and in different states (travel expenses covered by the company). You must be ready & excited to learn & grow your skills.
