Job summary

KDT Australia NSW in Sydney is seeking a full-time Technical Service Engineer to join our team in Rouse Hill. You will examine and test machines and control systems to diagnose faults, adjust and replace worn parts, and reassemble equipment for testing.

Ideal candidates have at least two years in Electrical or Mechatronics with a trade or diploma, knowledge of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and strong reading of manuals.

Qualifications

• Ability to read manuals and OEM guides.

Responsibilities

About the role.

We are looking for a full-time Technical Service Engineer to join our team in Rouse Hill, Sydney in a full-time position.

Tasks

Examining and testing machines, equipment, instruments and control systems to diagnose faults.

Adjusting, repairing, and replacing worn and defective parts and wiring, and maintaining machine, equipment and instruments

Reassembling, test operating and adjusting equipment.

Advising users of correct operating procedures to prevent malfunctions.

Installing electronic equipment and control systems

Applying knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic principals in commissioning and maintaining control systems.

Skills and experience.

Applicants will need to possess at least two years recent experience in Electrical or Mechatronics background with trade/diploma qualifications. A minimum of 2 years’ experience on panel-based woodworking machinery would be highly valued.

Good knowledge of concepts, principles and practices of electrical/mechanical systems.

Strong organizational skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Able to read and understand technical documentation, drawings, manuals and OEM guides.

Able to service and support equipment, including mechanical, electrical and electronic repairs.
