Job summary

Daikin Australia is seeking a technically minded Sales Support Specialist to provide quotes for projects and tenders, review specifications, and support the Sales team.

You will work from Adelaide, liaise with customers, and help deliver pricing solutions, with on-the-job training and a path for career growth.

Qualifications

• Mechanical Engineering degree or diploma (or equivalent qualification) with HVAC exposure.
• Ability to read technical plans and tender specifications.
• Experience supporting sales with technical quotes and product information.

Responsibilities

• Review project and product specs, select products and provide quotes within deadlines.
• Prepare preliminary solutions and pricing on requested products.
• Provide product data and brochures and advise on technical queries.
• Maintain customer relationships to ensure satisfaction.
• Assist Sales staff with project-related calls to/from customers.

About the role

The purpose of this fast‑paced, diverse, and challenging role is to provide technical support to the Sales team and customers to select product and develop quotes for projects and tenders.

Reporting to the State Manager SA, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Review project and product specifications, select product, and provide quotes within relevant time frames and other project parameters to customers.
• Prepare preliminary solutions and pricing on products as requested by internal or external customers.
• Provide product information - including data, product brochures, etc. - upon request provide advice and guidance on technical queries to both internal and external customers.
• Maintain appropriate customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained.
• Assist Sales staff with project-related calls to/from customers when required.

About you

• Mechanical Engineering degree/diploma or equivalent qualification or HVAC trade qualification.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Previous experience reading and interpreting technical plans and tender specifications.
• Previous experience working within HVAC sales, engineering or consultancy
• High level of organisation skills with demonstrated attention to detail
• Proactive approach to learning and personal development.
