Job summary

Daikin Australia invites applications for a Technical Sales Support Officer based in Melbourne, Bayswater VIC. You will support the Applied Solutions Sales team with product selection, estimating and tender packaging, and assist Account Managers with customer inquiries.

You will work closely with the Sales Manager for Applied VIC, coordinating with factories offshore and ensuring timely delivery and accurate technical information.

Qualifications

• Mechanical engineering degree or HVAC trade qualification.
• Ability to read and interpret technical plans and tender specifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to Account Managers and Sales Manager in applied product selection, estimating and tender packaging.
• Prepare orders and maintain communication with overseas factories for changes, delivery dates and technical information.
• Maintain customer relationships and respond to queries via phone, email or website in a timely manner.

About The Role

Daikin Australia is currently offering an opportunity to candidates to join our Applied Solutions Sales team in Melbourne based in Bayswater VIC as a Technical Sales Support Officer. Reporting to the Sales Manager – Applied VIC, you will be responsible for assisting our Account Managers and Sales Manager in requirements relating to Applied product selection, estimating and arranging Applied product tenders, packaging of product solutions, follow through of quotations submitted and helping customer enquiries relating to product.

Responsibilities Will Include But Are Not Limited To

• Provide support to customers by providing answers to queries received by phone, email or via website in a timely manner.
• Assist to maintain Daikin applied catalogues and literature and distribute to Account Managers and/or customers upon request.
• Maintain appropriate customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction is maintained.
• Prepare reports and assist with quality/code compliance of applied products as requested.
• Prepare order package for supplier and/or overseas factories; maintain contact with factory with respect to change orders, delivery dates and technical information.

About You

• Mechanical Engineering degree/diploma or equivalent qualification or HVAC trade qualification along with demonstrated experience and knowledge in HVAC, will be highly regarded.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Previous experience reading and interpreting technical plans and tender specifications.
• High level of organisation skills with demonstrated attention to detail
• Proactive approach to learning and personal development.
