BDGT Precision Engineering is seeking a Technical Sales Engineer in Brisbane. The role targets a graduate mechanical engineer or an experienced CNC machinist aiming to apply technical knowledge in a customer-facing capacity.
You will engage with customers, review drawings and specs, prepare quotes, source materials and coordinate projects to deliver practical engineering solutions. You’ll build lasting relationships and support delivery from enquiry to completion.
Are you a mechanical engineering graduate ready to build a commercially focused career? Or an experienced CNC machinist looking to step off the tools and put your technical knowledge to work in a new way?
BDGT is opening the door to both.
We're looking for a Technical Sales Engineer who can understand what a customer needs, translate it into a practical engineering solution and work with our production team to bring it to life.
BDGT is one of Australia's leading CNC machining facilities, with more than 50 years of experience supporting the resources, packaging, construction and manufacturing sectors.
We produce precision-engineered parts, equipment and machinery components for customers across Australia and internationally. Our capabilities also include fully assembled and painted fabrications, equipment overhauls and refurbishment services.
This means you'll gain exposure to varied customers, complex challenges and interesting projects not the same job on repeat.
Working closely with our Business Development Manager and Production Manager, you'll support projects from the initial customer enquiry through to delivery.
Either way, you’ll need to be technically curious, confident communicating with different people and comfortable taking ownership of your work. You’ll ask good questions, follow through on commitments and enjoy finding practical solutions.
Previous sales experience would be helpful, but it isn’t essential. We’re more interested in your technical foundation, attitude and willingness to learn.
This is an opportunity to develop well beyond a traditional engineering or machining role. You’ll build valuable experience across technical sales, quoting, customer management, production and project delivery, supported by an experienced team that wants to see you succeed.
