Job summary

Qantas is seeking a Technical Product Owner, Engineering Digital and Data Products, to lead a portfolio of data-driven products supporting Engineering. You’ll partner with engineering leaders, frontline teams and external partners to deliver secure, scalable solutions that improve aircraft availability and maintenance productivity.

You will shape data platforms and solutions, embed safety, privacy and compliance, and drive adoption across teams while delivering measurable operational value for

Qualifications

• Experience leading technology products from discovery to production
• Proven ability to deliver measurable operational outcomes
• Vendor management with aircraft manufacturers or enterprise vendors
• Experience building data platforms or data products for reporting and analytics
• Exposure to operational technologies (IoT, mobile devices, RFID, predictive maintenance)
• Strong business-case development, benefits realisation and budget management
• Ability to embed safety, cyber security, privacy, regulatory compliance and data governance
• Strong stakeholder and people leadership with cross-functional influence
• Degree in IT/Engineering/Data or equivalent practical experience
• Aviation maintenance/engineering familiarity is advantageous

Responsibilities

• Lead a portfolio of existing, emerging and data-driven products for Qantas Engineering
• Move opportunities from discovery and proof of value to secure, scalable production services
• Collaborate with engineering leaders, frontline teams and external partners to improve aircraft availability and maintenance productivity
• Develop data foundations for analytics, optimisation and future AI use cases
• Ensure products are secure, resilient and integrated with the wider maintenance technology spectrum
