Job summary

Qantas Airways in Mascot is seeking a Technical Product Owner for Airline Operations to lead technology transformation across crew planning, rostering and data enablement. You will partner with senior stakeholders to provide end-to-end accountability for the lifecycle of key business capabilities, modernise legacy platforms and shape roadmaps aligned with the five-year technology strategy.

The role requires 7–10 years in IT senior roles, strong stakeholder management, and a track record

Qualifications

7–10 years' experience as a senior IT business partner and/or IT manager, accountable for a portfolio of business-facing, operational applications, with end-to-end accountability across application delivery, implementation, and run.
Experience within Airline Operations preferred
Experience within complex legacy modernisation in critical sectors (e.g., airlines, defence, healthcare) preferred
Expert stakeholder management across both business and technical functions, building and maintaining trusted relationships.
Strong Commercial acumen, supplier management skills
Effective stakeholder management both across Qantas business units, and external vendors.
Demonstrated ability to deliver excellent product outcomes, aligned with the technology strategy

Responsibilities

Drive technology transformation across Airline Operations, leading the end-to-end lifecycle for assigned capabilities.
Lead modernisation efforts of legacy platforms while leveraging AI and automation opportunities.
Collaborate with senior stakeholders to align technology roadmaps with business strategy and realise value.
