Job summary

IntelliDesign in Brisbane is seeking a technically savvy Technical Project Manager to lead complex, multidisciplinary engineering projects across electronics, mechanics, firmware and software. You will align technical depth with strategic direction, manage external clients and manufacturing partners, and guide product outcomes from concept to production and support.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
Proven experience as a Project Manager in electronics, mechanical, and industrial design projects (medical device experience highly desired).
5+ years building complex embedded systems (electronics, mechanical, firmware, software).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; consulting background a plus.
Able to lead multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with proactive mindset.
Solid knowledge of project management principles, methodologies, and tools; able to mentor multi-disciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Develop comprehensive project plans with milestones and resource allocation.
Ensure on-time, on-budget project delivery with corrective actions as needed.
Lead multidisciplinary in-house teams and external stakeholders from concept to production.
Identify and mitigate risks; govern concurrent projects.
Maintain strong client relationships and manage expectations as lead contact.
Communicate progress, milestones, and decisions to clients.
Translate client needs into actionable briefs and support quotes and proposals.
Ensure ISO 13485 compliance within quality systems.
