Job summary

Healthcare Professionals Group in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead New Product Development projects within a growing medical technology environment. You will own complex cross-functional initiatives from planning through development and commercialisation, collaborating with Product Development, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing and Commercial teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree, Masters or MBA preferred.
• Demonstrated experience managing New Product Development projects.
• Experience leading projects through the product development lifecycle and commercialisation.
• Medical device, medical technology or healthcare industry experience is highly desirable.
• Experience within another highly regulated product development environment will also be considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead New Product Development projects (Medical Technology/ Software) from initiation through to commercialisation.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, budgets, resources and deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Product Development, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, Operations and Commercial functions.
• Identify project risks, dependencies and potential roadblocks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Drive accountability across project teams to ensure key milestones and deliverables are achieved.
• Facilitate project meetings, cross-functional reviews and stakeholder updates.
• Develop project dashboards, KPIs and reporting to track progress and communicate key risks.
• Provide clear project updates and presentations to senior stakeholders.
• Manage multiple priorities and projects within a fast-paced environment.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of project management processes and tools.

About the opportunity

An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Project Manager to lead New Product Development (NPD) projects within a growing medical technology environment. This role will take ownership of complex, cross-functional projects from initial planning through development and commercialisation, working closely with Product Development, Engineering, Operations, Quality, Regulatory, Marketing and Commercial teams.

• Medical device, medical technology or healthcare industry experience is highly desirable
• Experience within another highly regulated product development environment will also be considered
• Strong project planning, risk management and stakeholder management capability
• Proven ability to coordinate and influence multidisciplinary teams without direct authority
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including confidence presenting to senior stakeholders
• PMP certification would be advantageous
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a strong focus on delivering projects on time, within scope and to a high standard
