Job summary

Legends Global is seeking a dynamic Technical Manager to lead the Technical Department at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre. The role delivers world-class technical services for concerts, sports, and live events, from planning through execution, with a focus on safety and service excellence.

You will oversee planning, equipment, budgeting, and staff training, while building strong relationships with hirers and promoters and guiding a high-performing team in a fast-paced venue environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading technical operations within live entertainment venues and major events.
• Proven ability to build, develop and motivate high-performing teams.
• Exceptional stakeholder management with promoters, hirers and internal teams.
• Budgeting, cost control, planning and reporting experience for venues.
• Strong knowledge of event production, venue operations and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the venue's Technical Department and technical event operations.
• Act as the key technical liaison for promoters, hirers, and event stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients and touring productions.
• Oversee event planning, technical requirements, seating layouts and configurations.
• Manage equipment, maintenance programs and venue technical resources.
• Deliver staff training, inductions and safety programs.
• Oversee departmental budgets, expenditure, reporting and planning processes.
• Ensure WHS compliance, risk management and venue safety standards.
• Contribute to strategic direction and ongoing development of venue operations.
