You will provide expert guidance on fabrication, TIG welding, and OH&S compliance, while overseeing equipment and developing SOPs and risk assessments for safe operations.

Qualifikationen

• Trade qualification in Sheet Metal, Boiler making, Fitting, Welding, Fabrication, or related discipline.
• Minimum 6 years' experience (4-year apprenticeship + 2 years post-apprenticeship).
• Proven experience in TIG welding (stainless steel and aluminium) and workshop operations.

• Safely operate fabrication machinery including brake press, guillotine, rollers, and steel saws.
• Maintain equipment, workspace infrastructure, consumable inventory, and routine maintenance schedules.
• Develop SOPs, SWIs, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with OH&S legislation and university policies.
• Provide technical advice, workspace inductions, and training to users and stakeholders.
