Job summary

Flight Centre Careers is seeking a Technical Lead to provide day-to-day technical leadership across our software engineering team. You will own hands-on full-stack delivery (React/TypeScript and .NET) on the Azure platform, balancing architectural decisions with practical implementation across B2C/B2E/B2B booking applications.

You will collaborate with the Head of Engineering and Solution Architect, driving AI-powered tooling adoption, API integration, and secure, scalable software delivery

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading software engineering teams and delivering high-quality software across the SDLC.
• Strong Azure cloud platform and infrastructure knowledge (Container Apps, API Management, networking, Bicep).
• Proficiency in full-stack development with .NET backend and modern JavaScript frameworks (React/TypeScript).
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Lead or similar role.
• Experience with CI/CD tools and version control (Git).
• Strong experience with REST APIs, integration, and API lifecycle management.
• Deep knowledge of Entity Framework, SQL, data modelling and OOP principles.
• Desirable exposure to Dynamics 365 Business Central, test automation, AWS, and observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Deliver hands-on full-stack engineering for B2X applications (React/TypeScript/.NET on Azure).
• Maintain and operate the Azure platform to ensure security and reliability.
• Build integrations between applications and external APIs for dynamic booking functionality.
• Lead adoption of AI-powered tooling and set engineering standards.
• Provide technical leadership in agile teams emphasizing high-quality, secure, maintainable code.
• Apply best practices for scalability, performance, and data privacy.
