Job summary

SHEIKE seeks a Technical Product Developer to own the technical journey from development through to production. You will work closely with Design, Production, Buying and offshore suppliers to ensure garments meet SHEIKE quality standards and commercial objectives.

As the technical expert behind the product, you’ll manage fit, development, tech packs and the critical path, translating design intent into fully realised, market-ready garments across collections.

• Experience in technical product development within fashion.
• Knowledge across garment construction, fabrics and production.
• Ability to meet tight seasonal deadlines.
• Strong communicator with Design and offshore suppliers.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Excel and Illustrator.

Responsibilities

• Own the fit, construction and technical development of garments across each collection.
• Create detailed and accurate tech packs for offshore manufacturers.
• Measure, assess and monitor garments through prototype, development, pre-production and shipment sample stages.
• Lead and contribute to fit sessions, translating technical improvements into actionable instructions for suppliers.
• Partner with Design to refine styles and ensure technical execution brings the creative vision to life.
• Advise on fabrications, washes, finishes, construction techniques and garment development.
• Manage the critical path from Design through to Production handover.
• Manage sample tracking, development processes and Production handover.
• Work with Design and Production to identify challenges and troubleshoot.
• Develop and evolve SHEIKE standards across garment construction, measuring, fitting, alterations and pattern blocks.
• Source new fabrications with Design and explore fabric manipulations.
• Own and maintain the fabric library.
• Work with Design and Production on factory allocation for new developments.
• Apply knowledge of fabrications, printing, dyeing, finishes and garment construction.
• Build relationships with offshore supplier network, including partners in China.
• Support costing conversations and communicate changes from prototype to development samples.
• Collaborate across the business to ensure garments are delivered as intended.
