LINK is seeking a Technical Estimator / Tender Coordinator to own the day-to-day quoting and estimating process while supporting larger tenders and sales opportunities. You will work closely with our Sales, Technical and Operations teams to improve quote turnaround times, accurately scope, price and progress opportunities.

• Strong estimating and commercial skills (labour, equipment costs, margins).
• Ability to scope work on-site and identify customer requirements.
• Detail-oriented when reviewing specifications, drawings and tender docs.
• Experience preparing quotations or tender submissions.
• Highly organized with ability to manage multiple quotes.

Responsibilities

• Manage incoming sales and quotation enquiries.
• Prepare quotations for service works, upgrades, small projects and existing customers.
• Attend customer sites to scope works and gather information for quotations.
• Review customer requirements, drawings, specifications and system information.
• Prepare equipment lists, labour estimates, supplier pricing and project costs.
• Develop clear scopes of work, inclusions and exclusions.
• Progress quotes quickly and independently; assist with larger bids.
• Coordinate tender documentation and submissions.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, technicians and internal teams.
• Maintain quotation opportunities and CRM pipeline.
• Follow up outstanding information to keep quotations progressing.
• Support Sales with communication and follow-up.
• Hand over successful opportunities to Operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes.

Job description

This is a newly created role within the business, designed to strengthen our quoting, estimating and tender process.

We are looking for a Technical Estimator / Tender Coordinator to take ownership of the day-to-day quoting and estimating process while supporting larger tenders and sales opportunities.

This role will work closely with our Sales, Technical and Operations teams to improve quote turnaround times, reduce the reliance on field technicians and senior team members for routine quoting and ensure opportunities are accurately scoped, priced and progressed.

You don't need to know every system from day one. We are looking for someone with strong technical aptitude, commercial awareness, and the confidence to learn about our products, systems, suppliers, and estimating processes.

Key Focus Areas

• Manage incoming sales and quotation enquiries through the shared Sales Inbox.
• Prepare quotations for service works, system upgrades, small projects and existing customers.
• Attend customer sites to scope works and gather the information required to prepare quotations.
• Review customer requirements, drawings, specifications and existing system information.
• Prepare equipment lists, labour estimates, supplier pricing and project costs.
• Develop clear scopes of work, inclusions, exclusions and assumptions.
• Progress straightforward and lower-value quotations quickly and independently.
• Assist with larger quotations, proposals and formal tender submissions.
• Coordinate tender documentation, supplier pricing, technical information and submission requirements.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, technicians and internal teams to obtain required information.
• Maintain accurate quotation opportunities and sales pipeline information within the CRM.
• Follow up outstanding information and actions to keep quotations progressing.
• Support the Sales Team with customer communication and quotation follow-up.
• Ensure successful opportunities are clearly documented and handed over to Operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve estimating, quoting and tender processes.

Progression will be based on demonstrated technical capability, commercial understanding, and performance.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience or strong knowledge of electronic security systems, including CCTV, access control, and alarms.
• Proven estimating and commercial skills, with an understanding of labour, equipment costs, margins, and project pricing.
• Confidence to attend sites, scope work and identify customer requirements.
• Strong attention to detail when reviewing specifications, drawings, scopes, and tender documentation.
• Experience preparing quotations, proposals, or tender submissions.
• Highly organised and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple quotes, priorities, and deadlines.
• Strong customer, supplier, and internal communication skills.
• Confident using CRM, estimating/job management systems and Microsoft Office.
