Job summary

Yunex Traffic in Sydney, NSW, seeks a versatile estimator to prepare cost estimates for traffic controller and ITS installation projects across AU/NZ. You will perform site visits, interpret plans, and translate requirements into accurate effort, material, labour and overhead calculations, working with BD and delivery teams.

You will ensure up-to-date rates, manage procurement inputs, and support APAC as needed, including variation orders and lessons learned analyses.

Qualifications

• Experience preparing cost estimates for ITS projects.
• Ability to interpret drawings, timelines and standards to estimate effort and equipment.
• Experience with site visits and supplier quoting.
• Strong communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Knowledge of relevant ITS standards is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost build ups for material, labour, sub-contractor and overheads based on project requirements.
• Carry out site visits to understand customer requirements and scope.
• Review project plans and translate into effort and equipment calculations.
• Work closely with internal teams to clarify uncertainties on technical aspects.
• Ensure latest rates are used and procurement processes followed.
• Contact suppliers for tailored quotes.
• Identify risks and incorporate contingency plans into estimates.
• Prepare variation orders during delivery phase of projects.
• Occasionally visit other states to carry out similar tasks and support APAC.
• Use data from quotes and delivered projects for lessons learned analysis.
• Assist deployment of Yunex Traffic technologies in AU/NZ.
