Job summary

TalentFix is partnering with a global engineering consultancy to appoint a Technical Director to lead and grow its Australian T&D capability. You’ll lead multidisciplinary design delivery across transmission lines, substations, synchronous condensers and utility panel projects, bringing together Australian teams and global design resources.

You’ll work with the ANZ leadership team to shape the business, strengthen client relationships, recruit talent and develop the practice.

Qualifications

• Experience leading multidisciplinary design delivery across transmission lines, HV substations, and related T&D projects.
• Experience delivering Australian power infrastructure with awareness of local standards and commercial commitments.
• Ability to challenge designs and guide experienced engineers while communicating with clients.
• Experience growing and developing a practice, recruiting good people, and shaping bids.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction across projects from feasibility to detailed design.
• Lead engineers across disciplines and locations with clear expectations and accountability.
• Build trusted relationships with utilities and delivery partners.
• Help shape bids, project scopes and opportunities the business pursues.
