Job summary

HRG Recruitment is seeking a Technical Director for Secondary & Protection to shape a growing national capability and lead technical direction on major HV projects from Sydney or Melbourne. The role targets individuals already operating at Principal/Lead/Technical Director or SME level, with breadth across secondary systems and protection and the ability to influence standards and growth.

Qualifications

Strong Electrical Engineering experience with deep technical capability across HV Secondary Systems, Protection & Control.
Experience leading complex substation design and technical assurance across protection schemes, relays, control systems and SCADA.
Ability to mentor engineers and work with clients and senior stakeholders to drive quality and standards.

Responsibilities

Act as a senior technical authority across Secondary Systems, Protection & Control, SCADA, automation, relay protection and associated substation design.
Lead technical reviews and complex design packages across feasibility, concept, detailed design, construction support and commissioning.
Mentor engineers, strengthen technical capability and work closely with clients and other engineering disciplines on major project delivery.
