Job summary

HP Recruitment is seeking a Technical Director for Secondary & Protection in Sydney or Melbourne, a permanent, full-time role. You will act as a senior technical authority across Secondary Systems, Protection & Control, SCADA and substation design.

You will mentor engineers, lead complex design reviews and collaborate with clients and other disciplines to deliver major projects and shape national capability within Power & Electrification.

Qualifications

• Strong Electrical Engineering experience with deep capability across HV Secondary Systems
• Experience leading complex substation design and technical assurance across protection schemes, relays, control systems, SCADA
• Ability to mentor engineers and work with clients and senior stakeholders
• Familiarity with IEC 61850, relay settings, SCADA integration and high voltage networks highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Act as a senior technical authority across Secondary Systems, Protection & Control, SCADA, automation and substation design
• Lead technical reviews and complex design packages across feasibility, concept, detailed design, construction support and commissioning
• Mentor engineers and strengthen technical capability while partnering with clients and other disciplines
