We are seeking an experienced Product Owner / Business Analyst with a strong Platform Operations lens to continue driving delivery across the My Optus App (MOA) portfolio, owning end-to-end feature delivery for high-visibility customer journeys including Service Tab, NBN Assist, and Fixed flows. Beyond backlog and requirements ownership, this role carries accountability for the operational health of the platform — release governance, environment stability, defect management, and production readiness — ensuring features move from build through to a stable, supportable live state. This role requires someone who can operate seamlessly across product ownership, business analysis, and platform operations disciplines: translating complex business needs into prioritised backlogs, while also maintaining the release, environment, and deployment discipline that keeps a high-traffic customer platform running reliably. Given the scale and sensitivity of the MOA program, this role demands not just technical and functional capability, but established credibility with Optus stakeholders and a proven ability to operate independently within Optus’s delivery and governance frameworks from day one.

Key accountabilities
  • Own the integrated delivery plan, milestones, scope, budget, resources and delivery outcomes from initiation through implementation and closure.
  • Coordinate work across squads, technology teams, business stakeholders and delivery partners, managing priorities and cross-team dependencies.
  • Maintain effective governance, executive reporting and decision tracking, with transparent visibility of delivery health and financial variance.
  • Proactively manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies and changes, with clear mitigation, ownership and escalation.
  • Coordinate architecture, security, testing, release, cutover and implementation-readiness activities.
  • Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional, geographically distributed teams toward agreed outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate delivery artefacts in agreed tools, including Jira or Rally and Confluence
Essential requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering complex technology initiatives involving multiple squads or workstreams.
  • Strong capability in planning, schedule and budget management, RAID and dependency management, and executive reporting.
  • Experience in Banking and Financial Services or another highly regulated environment.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to engage, influence and present effectively to senior executives and governance forums.
Preferred experience
  • Experience with Agile delivery using Scrum, Kanban or scaled delivery practices.
  • Experience coordinating release, cutover, implementation readiness and transition activities.
  • Experience working across multi-vendor, distributed or offshore delivery models.
  • Relevant delivery or Agile certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, SAFe or Scrum.
