Optus is an Australian telecommunications company, delivering more than 11 million services to our customers every day across mobile, broadband and digital solutions.

As a Platform Lead within OSS Delivery, you will own and drive the evolution of critical operational platforms that underpin service activation, fulfilment, number management, and core telecommunications capabilities. Acting as the bridge between architecture, delivery, and operations teams, you will translate business and technical requirements into practical, scalable solutions while ensuring platform stability, performance, security, and long‑term strategic alignment. This is an excellent opportunity for a technology leader who enjoys combining solution design, stakeholder engagement, platform ownership, and roadmap planning within a complex enterprise environment.

What You’ll Do

Own the strategy, roadmap, lifecycle, and operational performance of key OSS platforms, ensuring they remain secure, scalable, and aligned to business objectives.

Lead the design and delivery of complex technology solutions, translating business requirements into end‑to‑end technical designs and guiding initiatives through implementation and production support.

Partner with architects, engineers, business stakeholders, vendors, and delivery teams to define platform direction, manage dependencies, and drive successful project outcomes.

Act as the subject matter expert for assigned platforms, providing technical leadership, managing platform risks and vulnerabilities, and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and future innovation.

What You Bring

Experience in platform ownership, solution design, systems engineering, architecture, or OSS delivery within a large‑scale technology or telecommunications environment.

Strong knowledge of OSS fulfilment platforms, system integration, application architecture, and end‑to‑end technology delivery, with the ability to balance strategic direction and operational requirements.

Proven stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience collaborating across architecture, operations, project delivery, vendors, and senior business leaders.

A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. Cloud certifications and experience with OSS platforms such as NetCracker, Amdocs, Oracle, or similar technologies will be highly regarded.
