Job description

At PwC Australia, we recognise the power of transformation and the potential of human-centred innovation. As a technical Business Analyst within Managed Services Technology, you'll be at the forefront of a strategic initiative focused on shaping and scaling the technology capabilities that underpin PwC Australia’s managed services. You’ll work across business and technology teams to translate complex workflow and operational needs into clear, actionable requirements that improve service quality, productivity and client outcomes.

Why PwC?

At PwC Australia, your skills meet purpose. We tackle big challenges across industries like finance, technology, energy, and health, giving you the chance to make a real impact. Here, your growth is our priority. You’ll work with leading teams, explore new technologies, and unlock your full potential. Join a global community of more than 370,000 people who value bold ideas, collaboration, and lasting change. Together, we’re building trust and shaping the future.

What you’ll do:
  • You’ll lead structured discovery to understand business problems, workflows, pain points, controls, data requirements, exceptions and value drivers.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, process maps, business rules and decision logic.
  • Analyse current and future-state workflows, including system interactions, data flows, hand-offs, controls and exception paths.
  • Work closely with Technical Leads, Engineers and other delivery teams to ensure requirements are technically feasible, appropriately scoped and aligned to reusable technology patterns.
  • Maintain traceability from the original business problem and value case through design, build, testing and release readiness.
  • Partner with QA and business stakeholders to define acceptance criteria, support UAT and defect triage, and ensure solutions deliver the intended business outcomes.
  • Facilitate workshops and working sessions across business, technology, operations, risk and governance stakeholders.
  • Identify reusable requirements, workflow patterns, business rules, prompts, agent skills and operational controls that can improve future delivery.
  • Use operational feedback and lessons learned to continuously improve discovery, solution design and backlog prioritisation.
  • Support governed AI and agentic delivery by ensuring behaviours, data use, controls and requirements are clearly documented.
What we’re looking for:
  • Strong experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst, Product Analyst or Process Analyst within a technology delivery environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in requirements elicitation, process mapping, workflow analysis, user stories and acceptance criteria.
  • Strong ability to translate complex business problems into clear, technically actionable and testable requirements.
  • Experience working with data mapping, business rules, exception analysis and control documentation.
  • Strong workshop facilitation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to connect business, technical and operational perspectives.
  • Experience supporting testing, UAT, defect triage, release readiness and operational handover.
  • Working knowledge of Agile, DevOps, digital transformation, automation, data, AI or managed-service delivery environments.
  • A curious, structured and analytical mindset, with the confidence to challenge unclear scope, weak evidence and untested assumptions.
  • Practical understanding of agentic workflows, reusable skills, prompts, controls and responsible AI practices is desirable.
  • Relevant business analysis, Agile, product, process improvement, data or service management qualifications are preferred but not essential.
What you’ll gain:
  • A supportive, inclusive culture where your ideas and perspective are welcomed from day one.
  • Access to tailored learning programs designed to develop your skills and unlock your potential.
  • Four weeks of annual leave plus floating public holidays & birthday leave giving you the space to rest and recharge.
  • Health and lifestyle perks, including wellness benefits and discounted memberships to support your wellbeing from the start.
  • Free barista made morning coffee and tea
