Job summary

Mane Consulting is seeking a technically astute Business Analyst to deliver high quality data analysis, interpretation and reporting that supports service delivery goals and compliance with reforms and legislative requirements.

You will lead data extraction, build dashboards in Power BI, and collaborate with business and technical teams to drive continuous improvement and informed decision making.

Qualifications

• Strong technical analysis capability, including SQL for data extraction and profiling.
• Experience documenting functional and technical requirements.
• Experience with process mapping.
• Understanding of data structures, data governance and system integrations.
• Ability to translate complex concepts clearly for both business and technical teams.
• Experience in government, regulated environments or large enterprise programs (highly regarded).

You’ll be a technically astute Business Analyst joining this Government Organisation, deliver high quality data analysis, interpretation and reporting that supports the organisation in meeting its service delivery goals and complying with reforms and legislative requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead data extraction, analysis and reporting to support planning, performance and outcomes.
• Perform data mining and profiling to improve service delivery and drive continuous improvement.
• Develop performance measures, tools and governance processes to strengthen systems and workflows.
• Maintain core data sets and address data quality issues to ensure reliable reporting.
• Provide technical guidance and capability uplift to teams using data for decision?making.

Skills & Experience Required

• Strong technical analysis capability, including SQL for data extraction, validation and profiling.
• Experience building dashboards and reports using Power BI (or similar BI tools).
• Advanced Excel skills for analysis, modelling and data interpretation.
• Demonstrated experience documenting functional and technical requirements.
• Experience with process mapping
• Understanding of data structures, data governance and system integrations.
• Ability to work across both business and technical teams, translating complex concepts clearly.
• Experience in government, regulated environments or large enterprise programs (highly regarded).
