Job summary

Ridley Corporation Ltd is seeking an experienced Technical Agronomist to support customers and the sales team with technical guidance on Ridley’s fertiliser products, including enhanced efficiency fertilisers, liquids and blends, and the Nutrient Advantage laboratory.

You will influence agronomic knowledge sharing across the industry, strengthen capability, and improve decision-making tools while ensuring our advice remains practical and science-based.

Qualifications

  • Degree in agriculture, agronomy, soil science or similar.
  • 5+ years’ experience in agronomy, research, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of fertiliser use, plant nutrition and soil science.
  • Experience in data analysis and interpretation.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and ability to influence.
  • Self-motivated, organised, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Customer Agronomists and Consultants.
  • Grow sales of Ridley’s differentiated product range (enhanced efficiency fertilisers, liquids and blends).
  • Work with the Customers to demonstrate the value, purpose, and benefits of proprietary products.
  • Grow Nutrient Advantage sample volume and revenue and increase the number of samples that receive a recommendation.
  • Provide Agronomy in Practice training and ensure trainees they are using NA and NA Pro.
  • Maintain and update Nutrient Advantage rules, logic and data tables.
  • Generate and communicate to the business key insights and likely impact on fertiliser demand.

In This Role, You Will

The Key Skills Required For This Role Include
